I bet Pilate would've taken a flight out!
The following is a very interesting and very amusing conversation that we had at lunch today regarding Easter.
Ella, Noah and I were sitting at the table eating lunch and Ella asked why the people wanted to kill Jesus. Oh, yeah, that is an easy one to answer. How does one explain the Sovereignty of God's Plans?! Let's give it a shot anyway. We talked about how the the people weren't convinced that Jesus was the Son of God, the King of Kings, and that there were people in charge on earth that didn't like Jesus. We talked about Pilate and God's Will. We talked about how Jesus had to die to obey God and make a way for us to go to Heaven. So we reached the point of the conversation where Ella needs to "sum up" and reach a bottom line. So she says, "So, God is the number one person in charge, Jesus is the second, and Airport is the next." Airport?? Oh, Pilate. Well, I couldn't stop myself...I burst out in very loud laughter. Ella realized the twist on words that she had said and started laughing too. It was a good end to a very heavy theological lunchtime discussion.
Wishing all our readers a Joyful and Happy Easter!
